Anti-Virus & Registry Cleaners . . . - 12/26/2006 16:22:52
It's time to renew my anti-virus software and having read a lot about Nod32, I'm currently trialing it free. I need three licenses and it works out pretty cheap at only AU$84 each computer for 2 years, i.e. AU$42 per year, way cheaper than most others and so far it seems to be doing the job.

I learnt about it by reading old threads on this forum and would like to know whether the three people who highly recommended it back then, Kitka, Donkey & Caz are still using it and are just as happy with it, and whether anybody is also using it?

My free trial period of both RegistryFix and jv16PowerTools has also expired and so I'm looking for ONE program that will perform the tasks that these do, although I've not read much about them. Again I'm looking for 3 licenses. Can anyone recommend a good and relatively inexpensixe Registry Cleaner?

Thanks

jv16 Power tools does what registry fix does. It's the only one I use.

Yes, I am still using NOD32 and Donkey is too, although he trialled Kaspersky for a time he thought it too intrusive and went back to Nod. I also use RegCleaner from the same stable as jv16 Power tools, but am considering the latter instead of it.

I'm using a trial of jv16 Power Tools at the moment - if I remember rightly when I went rooting around looking for licence info, as I currently have two machines, it said the personal licence can be used for up to 5 PCs.

I'm still using NOD32 and am very happy with it. We are also converting all our clients' computers to it, as their subscriptions to Norton become due.

We haven't had any "issues" caused by it, like we often did with Norton.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I've just purchased NOD32 and purchased jv16 Power Tools last week!

Not a bad choice, they have a strong community too... I could have got you a legit Kaspersky license for $20 though :)
