Flash Gordon -> Rollover navigation button created in Photoshop and ImageReady - How do I make it work in FrontPage? (1/6/2007 12:08:27)

I have a book that shows how to make dozens of useful web graphics in Photoshop and ImageReady that can be transfered to a FrontPage web page as easy as dragging the HTML document icon into the blank page. The HTML code and all the necessary images - sliced GIF and JPEG files, are transfered as well, no problem. The only problem is, the mouse over event graphic that I made in ImageReady works like it's supposed to when I test it in a browser window in ImageReady, but the mouseover event doesn't work when I test it in a FrontPage browser window. All the graphics look fine...it's just that the mouseover/rollover event doesn't happen. Do you have any idea experience in this type of thing, and any idea what I might be doing wrong? I know I can create mouseover events in FrontPage, but there are many other Java Script code functionalities made in ImageReady that I'd like to take advantage of. Thanks...Flash

I hesitate to use this phrase as I got called illiterate the last time but here goes.....

What do you mean when you say FP browser? Are we talking the Preview screen or are you hitting the preview in browser button and loading IE?

Could be anything, but without seeing the code it's difficult to say. [;)]

Sounds like it could be a problem with the JavaScript produced by ImageReady though. Does it just not work in FP, or doesn't it work in a browser either?

Thanks for the help. I figured it out from a search of the Adobe website Forums. Their explanation was extremely vague, but from what I read, I figured out that all I had to do was: 1) Copy and paste all graphics files into the Images folder, then; 2) Copy and paste all of the HTML either at the bottom of the prescript, or paste it wherever the cursor was flashing in the Code page of the particular web page I'm working on. It works perfect now. Thanks for the effort.
