I'm re-doing this website:

one of my concerns is are there too many pages, or are they hard to find? specifically there are 12 pages under the history page, I'd rather not get rid of that content, but should it be on one large page?

I know there are issues on this site, I'm starting over and don't have the time to fix these only to re-create the site. my concern right now is how to improve the layout.

Crumbs. Too many links in the main menu. Recommended is a max of 8. You really need to have sub menus.

Don't put everything on one long page, it's a nightmare to read. Have a History link then a sub menu with the other pages.

thanks for your reply. I never heard the rule of 8, but it makes sense, and I don't recall more than 8 too often elsewhere. When you hover over History you see the other 12 links, do you mean keep it that way, or a sub-menu after going to the history page?

Also, you might want to change the page title. Right now it shows up as "untitled page".

I agree with JayBee, the menu needs a fix, although I really love the colors. The gray is cool.
