if you have the lastest version of explorer and click on it, it will get larger

I use Firefox but that's not the problem. The picture is angled so it's not easy to see the font form as it looks truncated. What I meant was a picture of the lettering face on.

It's Bouwsma Script, but stretched.

True, but it has never helped me. It hasn't even identified Arial correctly.

WhatTheFont is mainly for computer-generated graphics with eccentric (decorated) fonts with default letterspacing and without any distortion. It doesn't recognize fine details of certain fonts or styles either. That pretty much rules out 99% of the cases.

Identifont is a bit better, but nothing beats the human eye.

I just browse through MyFonts for “hits” or identify from the top of my head.
