New site - 1/15/2007 13:57:26
I have made this website for very good friends of mine to promote their bed and breakfast business free of charge. I found front page quite easy to use but I am sure I have only scratched the surface of what it can do.
Any honest (if needed - brutal) tips and reviews are welcome.

The site isn't at all bad but it could do with warming up a bit. The building itself is very grey with no trees or plants around it so it looks quite cold. The bedrooms are all white and again look cold. My first thoughts on looking at the page was that I'd rather go somewhere with a nice log fire.

If the Guest House doesn't have any warm rooms you can take shots of then you need to warm the site up. A White background with Black header text is too austere.

Speak to your friends and ask them to stick a couple of bay trees or some conifers or something either side of the front door. It needs some greenery.

My OH just took a look and he had one word for the place, "clinical". It may be the photos make it look worse than it is in which case you need better photos.

On the Pictures.htm page, if you click on the thumbnails, they open the picture in a new page........

....as thumbnails.

Hey,
Some of the layouts on the page are messed up. The Homepage is aligned differently from the rest of the site. The Area attractions and Contact page step on the navigation buttons.

Other than that, I think the page could be really great with a little cleanup.
