I am having problems uploading my website to the server. I had this problem about a month ago and posted it in the Beginners forum...I thought the problem had been taken care of but here I am again...I am now having the same issue and nothing I've tried has worked.
I am using FP 2000, uploading to addr.com. I try to publish (doesn't matter if it's the entire site or just one changed page) and it sits there for a few minutes and then I get the error message, "Server timed out. The current request did not complete successfully." The last time this happend I asked my host to reinstall our FPSEs and this corrected the problem. A few weeks later I was trying to import a file into FP (a rather large one) and it threw it out of wack again. I've done the following to try to correct the problem:
- uninstalled IE 7
- tried to upload with firewalls turned off
- contacted ISP to make sure DSL connectivity was working correctly
- tried publishing to ftp://hopefammin.addr.com and it gave me the error message, "425 can't build data connection:connection refused"
- proxey settings are fine I believe
- increased "time out" time in FP
- web host said the size of my website wasn't the problem
I know I can't be the first person to have this problem. If anyone has figgured this one out let me know! Thanks! [:(]
