We are still in development stages but I wanted to give everyone a sneak preview of our new URI Valet tool.

http://valet.seoconsultants.com/

We'll be adding more features over the next couple of weeks and will have an offcial launch date shortly thereafter.

Your feedback, questions, wish list, etc. are all welcomed!

Ed, not that I don't trust you or anything but if I type my site in there what's going to happen?

I'm having a very bad couple of weeks and if my site is going to blow up I'd rather like to know.

It's OK, I typed your site in [:D]

and it timed out.

WinHttp.WinHttpRequest error '80072ee2'

The operation timed out

/valet/index.asp, line 181

It won't work for seoconsultants.com. But, it will work for all other sites (or it should anyway). We are addressing bugs as they are reported. Our membership is currently reviewing the tool and offering their feedback.

When you enter your URI, it returns a variety of information about that resource. It will show you the final destination URI, any metadata elements that are present, text to html ratio and then a whole bunch of other information about that resource. Give it a try, don't worry, nothing is going to blow up. :)

Typed in two medium-large sites - both resolved in less than 5 seconds on dial-up at 45.2 kbps.

Count me in for the lunch date. Oh wait, that's launch not lunch [8D] That being the case, just let me know.

Oh cool. Like how the little cake slices move back and forth. Neat!

Sorry I didn't put the link in. That error came up when I put in frontpagewebmaster.com

Yes, I noticed that too and I have my team looking into it.

Those graphs are "pretty" interactive. ;)

OK, I got it to work second go on my site. Might be worth putting a format comment in as the first time I put http on the front and it said the domain didn't resolve, so I just put the domain, but when it comes back it sticks the http on the front.

Tada, my 1,000th post! Whew, it only took what, 5-6 years to get there? How come there isn't a join date next to my name? Oh, I know, don't want to show my age. ;)

Congrats. Veterans don't get join dates.

Your chart is either wrong or it's found three images missing from my site. Thing is the page looks fine. I'll delve around later. If it's correct it could be handy.

I have another site that keeps reporting 404 in the log but I'm blowed if I can find the darn thing. This might just solve it.

Yikes! Just noticed something really stupid in my Metas as well. [:o]
