not sure if I am in the right forum but I have to start somewhere. everything is new to me so I am learning.

In my c Panel Error Log I have many hundreds of errors showing:
File does not exist.

How do I correct and eliminate any further.

Welcome to Outfront. You need to look at which files it says don't exist and then try and work out why. It could be that you have invalid links in your site, misspelling, wrong folder. It could be that you've moved stuff and Google still has the old pages in its index so people are going to non existant pages.

If it is because you've moved things then you can do a 301 redirect which tells Google to go to the new page.

Otherwise it's a case of page by page, work out what the error is and why.

If you're worried about the logs themselves then you can usually delete them but it might be wise to speak to your host about that.

I had a load of 404s on one site because I bought a domain that somebody else had released and the Search Engines still had their pages listed.

quite often it's because you don't have a favicon and browsers tend to look for them by default.

On top of the favicon file, I see a lot of requests for the robots.txt file too....

If you are referring to your web site as shown in your profile then I think the 'webmaster' link at the bottom of the home page is incorrect also. It seems to refer me to the Bellsouth ISP. Was that your intent?

thnx for the help. I have always had trouble with my navigation and for some reason I was able to correct it today, don't know why must be brain lag. Seems like my links were not: Showing in Link Bar. I have also corrected my email to go to my site. Lets see how this works in Error Log. You can be sure I will keep up with this forum as everything I do is learn as you go. I thought optimizing my site was a challenge at least google has me 2 under truck consoles and 6 for car consoles. Well now maybe I can get back to adding reciprocal links. I know my site needs help so I will be here.
