Hello ...

Can someone take a look at my website for any blatant Web Design errors? I'm self taught and can't quite figure out why, on some computers, the text seems all over the board.

Thanks so much ...

Hi,

Cute baby! I think part of your problem is the program you're using to make the page. Did you know the links on the left side of the page don't work in Firefox/non IE browsers? Do you have Frontpage or another program besides Word (I assume that's what you're using to generate the code)?

If I have time, I'll send you a quick page update at your e-mail (that you have on your site) some time in next day or two.

It's because you've built the page using shapes. When you're building a site turn the drawing toolbar off so you're not tempted to try and grab boxes from it.

To layout the page you'd be better off at your level using tables.
Take a look at our tutorials

Lektrik it's a nice offer but unless Sue understands how to work with it she's just going to start adding shapes in again. I think she needs to work through the tutorials on how to set the page up properly.

Thanks so much for both of your responses.

I'm using Frontpage 2003. In the MSDN tutorial links, there seems to be tutorials for 2000 only. Are there major differences between the two or would it still be beneficial to take the 2000 tutorial?

I do believe I am "Table", "Layer" and "Frame" challenged.

The principle of the tutorials is very similar. FP2003 has a few more bells and whistles but the basics of page layout are the same.

If you have queries, that's what we're here for just post a question in the FP forum.

Oooh and while I'm here.... stay away from Frames! Bad news all round.

Why do you think frames are bad?
