I want to reboot my computer, but my dad threw away the CD that would reboot my windows xp. I really dont want to download a boot from microsoft.com. Is there a way for me to obtain another CD?

If you didn't buy through them, you can try to use a friend's XP cd. I assume HP and others will do the same. Do not tell them that it was thrown away though. It was lost in a house move. You can only use a friend's CD if you have your own product key. If it's a Dell machine then the key will be on a Windows sticker attached to the machine. Don't be tempted to use your friend's key. If you do when one of you tries to download or upgrade or get fixes, it will be flagged as an illegal copy. _____________________________ If it ain't broke..... fix it until it is.
