I'd love your feedback on anything I can/should do to improve my site. Comments in any area or welcome.

Cheers.

You are not capturing visitor interest fast enough because too much text precedes the bridal dress photos which are presently "below the fold". You can keep the text, but display the dress photos sooner with a continuation of text after. Also, buttons agreeing with the red text in the header area would be a better choice than the existing rather bland text buttons.

Lastly, your "call to action" statement of ..."- a better way to buy or sell a new, sample or used wedding dress" is very weak. Tell visitors why they should do business with you and create some urgency with "special sale", "free shipping", "dramatic reduction", etc. And - a product must - have some sort or satisfaction guarantee statement along with facility for ease of payment via PayPal, etc.

too grim for wedding dress site

lose the background those horizintal lines make it look grey and hard to read

why not ivory or champagne white or whatever colour it is that wedding dresses are instead? and matching colours for links etc

I agree with what has been said above. At the moment the site gives me the impression of cheap, pile it high, yard sale.

Value your product. Just because you're selling second hand doesn't mean the site can't look like a boutique. Take a look at some of these sites. If I were buying from you and found pre-owned on a site like these I would assume the products were quality.

I agree with all of the above. Too "industrial" (background), too bland, too much text above the fold, which is what matters because that's what visitors see first, and I don't know if it's just the background, or the fact I'm not a fan of serif fonts, but the font you have for the text doesn't do it any favours and I don't find it easy to read.

When I'm working on a site site I always ask myself honestly - if I came across the site while searching the web, would I buy from it/use it? If the answer's no, or not sure, then I have a rethink.
