Publishing to IIS - 1/31/2007 2:35:07
Could somebody PLEASE help me sort out a heck of a mess.

I use FrontPage 2003, FP Server extensions 2002 and I publish to IIS

Due to endless problems with my database results page , I decided to un-install and re-install FrontPage server extensions 2002. Then I repeatedly got the message: Server error: The server extensions were unable to access the file frontpg.lck. Check file permissions.

I searched high and low for a solution for this message and in the process must have changed a few settings on my machine, because now I can't even get past the Remote Website Properties box when I try to publish, because it repeatedly prompts for a username and password (Please see embedded picture).

PLEASE help!

Have you contacted your hosting company? Normally you should not remove the extensions, only repair them. Removing them can cuase other problems. They will need to go in and check the permissions of this file
