xterradane -> Editing Database Entries (11/8/2001 20:19:00)

Okay this has to be the lamest question, but I can't find any information on it. How do I edit my database once it is loaded on the server? (The entries someone has input into it) Do I need to create a seperate administration page in the web using ASP for myself? Are there any good articles you know of about database management techniques, but not from a programming point of view, rather a what you need to do to properly manage it and then how to do it (programming portion).

Thanks,
Gail

If it is an Access database you could just open the DB in Access.

You could also build you own database editor using ASP / ADO or download one.

If you go to www.aspin.com and type in database editor you will have many selections to choose from. Some are good and some are lame.

Using the compact/rebuild feature in Access is one of the more important things to do to keep your DB in shape. This can be done in an online editor so you don't have to download the entire DB.
