Hi I think it's an excellent idea. Style-wise it's simple - but not in a bad way (if you see what I mean). HTML-wise there's a fair number of errors in the code which may or may not matter to you. If they do then a trip to the W3C validator will point them out and enable you to fix them. There's two things that I think you might need to address. Firstly the site is fairly slow to load completely. I'm not entirely sure why your images are slow as they are optimised properly. The navigation, however is very slow to load and I think is the thing that I'd definitely look at changing if I were you. There are a lot of items in there for a horizontal menu for a start. With that many items, I think I might look at a vertical menu instead - or possibly not have all the items in the main top menu. Also - the code for the menu itself is pretty long and clunky which could cause issues with download speed and even possibly with Search Engines as there's quite a bit of code for them to wade through and they only actually read a set amount of words on each page (you don't want that taken up with a load of uneccesary code!). Other minor point - I'd give the main text area a bit of padding on the left to move it away from the images as it's crowding up against them. Generally - you get the point across well and it's easy to see what's going on. The only downside in my view (apart from me being picky about the code itself) is the menu being slooooow!
