permission to one folder - 2/8/2007 14:27:19
I have a site that I want to allow another user access to one folder with a group of pages to keep updated. I am hosting with Go-Daddy on a linix server. Please, show me the way. DW

How does everyone like this new setup? Hmmmm...

Content Seed is one way. With Frontpage and *NIX, it is a bit of a pain because htaccess want to control the permissions. But Frontpage wants to so they end up sometimes fighting. I would recommend some type of CMS

wisnuclear- did you see the password protect a page post in Hints and Tips above? It is a solution that may work but I haven't tested it on a FP Web that uses extensions. Opps, re-read your post and you want to protect a folder. There is a great tutorial on this web site on how to do that in FrontPage using subwebs.

I'm obliged. I will take a peak at that. Your icon is very cool. I you like western or cowboy stuff check out the art work on my site, www.davewisniewski.com. Thanks again for the reply. DW.

Actually it is neither western or cowboy. It is Peruvian. We have Peruvian horses and that is the traditional Peruvian outfit we wear for shows.
