Suggestions for Improvment - 2/13/2007 20:36:25
Hi, I have designed this website in Expression Web using css for the first time. Please post suggestions for improvment and any faults found. I know my drop down menu is too wide for the table in firefox but I can't seem to fix it.

Hey there,

I think it looks pretty slick. Nicego man....

I don't see the two row soopky is talking about. Just the way it should be.

But....

I would revisit the h1 tags. They look to big an massive to me. You can style the h1 with your css style to make it a little bit more appealing.... ;-)

I believe Spooky is referring to the navigation menu that is on top AND towards the bottom of the pages

I agree, the bottom menu is a waste of time, you really only need one of those if the page is really long and even then I'd just have a link that says Back to Top.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I have changed the H1 to italic until I decide on a font. I agree the bottom menu may be too much but would it be worth leaving for keywords?

I think in your menu you could omit some words for example...under BREED INFO you have the word "information" after every category, the same goes with the pictures menu and the puppies for sale menu

header looks a bit pixellated around the text against the background

when i hover the menu it stays down when i move away from it (in firefox)

the all bold text is hard to read: use bold for emphasis only

Ditch the moving paw-prints (very '90s) and the patterned background (doesn't fit in with the feel of the rest of the site). I'd also give the text some padding and add a little line height to the text as well to stop it looking so crammed together.

Have to agree about that blue patterened background.

It detracts from the site.

And as mentioned above, fix your banner.
