First Forum Design - 2/21/2007 8:42:31
OK, I was bored and decided to try and customize a new forum that I run. It might be a little to dark for some people, so I might do a white version down the road. I was trying to go for like a underground feel. Now I didn't try to validate this. (I'm sorry) :) I'm thinking there might be to much junk the forum software puts in there.

Hi Brandon

You sound all defensive! :)

I rather like it (which is British for "very nice"). I think that maybe the E-Bohemia banner image could be slightly brighter red maybe just to stand out a bit more? Also the grey boxes that indicate no new posts could maybe be a slightly different colour to the background grey - I don't know actually... it's just that I sort of expected that they'd have images in them - subconscious thing I guess, they're quite nice plain.

Code-wise (and I know it's not you!) there's actually only 5 errors according to FF and a couple of those are easy fixes - your favicon link is within the body of the page - just shift it to the document head. Also in your table tag you've got "width=" which is causing an validation error so you could just remove that.

The other error seems to be about cellpadding in the same tag. I can't actually remember if that is invalid or whether it's just the width= thing right before it which is causing the issue. Either way I wouldn't stress about it too much. If it really bothers you then you could add something into the stylesheet.

Ooooh very web 2 (whatever that is).

Your header is too dark, I didn't see it at first. Otherwise interesting scheme and well done.

Thanks guys...

Yes, I see what you two mean about the header. It needs to be brighter. I will also check out those fixes.

Didn't mean to sound defensive :)

Thanks for the web 2 complement...maybe one day we will figure out what web designers mean by that. :)

Interesting avatar there Brandon... :):)

As for the forum, a tad dark as indicated but not bad at all.
