Database Management - 11/27/2001 13:04:00
This seems like a dumb question, but I haven't found information on it yet: Once you have loaded an Access Database onto the server (hosted offsite) can you open it and then make changes? Will others be able to still access it while you are doing so? What is the best way to do this? Do I need to create my own asp page to administer the database?

If you open your web live (and you have Access installed), you should be able to double-click on the DB file and open it in Access. However, if someone makes changes to the DB on-line, you will wipe out there changes when you save back to the host.I'm not positive, but I believe that FP brings a copy of the db to your TEMP directory. You do your 'stuff', then FP copies it back. Hence the message about "a newer version".
