editable region question - 2/27/2007 5:23:39
I am sure this is an easy answer, so I apologize in advance. I am making a simple site and downloaded a template off the internet. I have created other pages using this template and all is well. However, on the template, I would like to make one of the editable regions into a non-editable region. In otherwords, is there a way to disable an editable region on the template? I have right-clicked on the region and went to Templates and can see an option for Remove Template Markup (which I thought might be the answer) but it is grayed out and won't let me choose it. Any help is good help! Thanks!

You could make a copy of the template save that copy with a diffrent name. Open it in note page and remove the markup that makes it an editable region. That way you could open it again in in DW as a DWT with a diffrent name to see if that worked. I know it sounds a bit like goint around you a**hole to get to your thumb but it may work. Rich

LOL! Sheesh, I'm sorry. I didn't even think to just delete the markup. I didn't even have to make a copy of the template (I did, just to have a back up), but I didn't need to. All I had to do was open the template, delete the markup and viola... it updated all the pages. Thanks!!
