Dreamweaver & Low Memory Warning - 3/1/2007 18:50:14
For the past couple days I have been getting a rather annoying popup box that says I am running low on memory, and that Dreamweaver suggests I save my work and restart the computer. I don't recall the exact message, but it is pretty similar to what's above.

I was using about 1gb out of the 4gb of ram when I got that error message. Hard drive still has plenty of space.

Any idea whats up?

Check your pagefile and increase it if necessary.

If you still get the problem then look in the processes and make sure there's only one dreamweaver running. It has a habit of staying in memory when you close it and loading a new one if you open it again.

Right now it's set to 2046. I've never messed with the pagefile before, not sure if that's normal or not.

Must have more RAM!!!! :)

It seems like there might be a bug in DW8 regarding this problem. Check out this link to see just one of many threads about this problem on the adobe support forum. One of the posts has a link to a microsoft fix for one of the causes of the problem but it seems more likely to be a bug.
