blurry image - 3/7/2007 20:21:40
Why does the text in my image appear blurry after I publish it? The text looks fine in photoshop. I checked to make sure the image is sized properly to fit the space and it is.

I also noticed the vendor logos look blurry too. They look fine in frontpage, however when I preview the page, the logos are blurry.

Any ideas what is causing the images to become blurry?

Fine here too.

Try cleaning your monitor, works wonders. :)

What isn't so good is that in Firefox your nav bar is way down the page below the bottom of the content.

I never checked firefox. Thank you! In firefox the images look great. Navigation is the problem in firefox.

I checked with another person who uses explorer and she says the images are blurry on her end to.

The images also look good in netscape. The navigation is located on the lower half of the page just like in firefox. What could be causing the navigation problem?

In your css file change the sidelinks padding, it's too wide.

This works but you might want to play around with it a bit.

.sidelinks {
padding: 10px 8px 5px 8px;
text-align: left;
}

At the moment the bold one is set to 18px, you could just reduce it pixel by pixel until it looks right in FF etc.

[edit] 9px is the largest that will work.

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>

Scroll down to Multimedia

Make sure these are ticked

Always use Clear Type for HTML
Enable Automatic Image resizing
Smart Image Dithering

Shut down IE then restart and check it. If still no change you could try turning off the image resize but it's likely to affect other pages.

All of those items are checked. I also tried turning off the image resize. It didn't make a difference.

Think you may have done it in the wrong place. See my post in the css thread.
