Instead of having to do this each time, forexpression has an addon that lets you just press a button to bring up the navigation view.

btw I think it was a post by Steve Easton Microsoft MVP - FrontPage that first showed this possibility.. though I might be wrong ..it might be another mvp I'll find out.

When I first stopped using nav bots and shared borders I found it tedious to keep up the nav view and used the folder list for visual clue instead .... works just as well if you use folders for your main sections... not so well if you don't.
