Well I have never tried this with FP, so the concept is new with EW.

I have a dropdown that is populated from db Category table.

I have a gridview that is populated from db Movie table.

This is a relational database. Each control has it's own datasource set.

After making a choice from dropdown, I would like the gridview appear based on the choice from dropdown.

I do not want the gridview to appear until a choice has been made from the dropdown.

Anybody done something like this before that they would like to share a solution?

Check the properties tab of the gridview you should be able to set those properties there.

Thanks for the reply.

My final solution has been to pass the selected value of the dropdown to the gridview. For the gridview datasource I had to modify the SQL statement WHERE to accept the value from the dropdown.

I hope this is has value to somebody else in the future.
