Dreamweaver Template Problems - 3/13/2007 14:44:33
Ok, I've built a template in dreamweaver. It has graphics and buttons with behavior changes. I used Fireworks to create the template.
When I create a blank page and apply the template, everything works fine. When I add a few items to the content area (editable region) everything works fine.
But if I try to do much more then the template left hand side menu acts up. It adds white lines between the buttons and cuts out a pieces of a couple of slices.
The top works fine.
For the left hand side I have a verticle slice from the top border to the bottom of the page. (A piece of this slice is missing at the top)
Then I have a small slice, each button and a slice to the bottom of the page. (There are white lines between the buttons and a piece of the slice at the bottom is missing)
Then I have a small slice fromt the top border to the bottom of the page. (a piece of this slice is missing)
So the left hand side kind of resemble a ladder.
Then the next item to the right is the CONTENT area. For the page I'm working on, I've set up a 3 by 3 table. For the first column I merged the cells. The second column uses all three cells. The last column two of the cells are merged to create two cells. This section is working fine.
I'm new to dreamweaver coming from FrontPage.
I hope I've described the problem. Can anyone help.

I discovered the answer to the problem.
If you exceed the size of your Editable Region, it will play havoc with your template. Be sure to make your template big enough.
