I have successfully installed music in the background of my home page. Now! How do I have that music continue playing when I go to an internally linked page???

in the page properties box (right click and select page properties in the drop down menu), go to the GENERAL tab. Go to where it says background sound. select LOOP instead of entering a number. that should make it play continuous.

Thanks, But the "Loop" did not accomplish what I wanted. The Music continually plays on the Home page but when I go to another page it is not there? If I install the same song on different pages will it play as a continuous song as I follow links thru the site. That is what I would like to have happen.

No, it will start over for each page that loads into the browser.

Nancy,

Before I go away disappointed I assume you mean there is no way to achieve the desired results with FP. Do you know of other software that will do this? Perhaps Dreamweaver?
Thanks,....................Bill

Only way I know how to do this would to put the song in a frame.

Nancy -> RE: Background music (4/3/2001 20:31:00)

Well I didn't want to mention frames, since I dislike them even worse than music, but it would be one option. I have also seen some sort of midi player that starts and will keep a song playing, but I don't have the slightest clue where I saw it.

You might try a search on Google for midi player script or something like that.

Sorry I couldn't help out more. By the way, I do feel compelled to mention the down side of having background music on a site. Oftentimes people do surf from locations where having their speakers on is terrible inconvenient and downright irritating to coworkers, or maybe sleeping family members.

One option would be to have a control panel where your visitors could at least have a choice to turn the music on or not. I realize it might be nice to have the music, but since you can't control who your visitors will be, it might be a good idea to think about this some more.

Thanks to all of you who replied. I had not thought of the downsides re background music as pointed out by Nancy. I agree with her and will change my mind accordingly. When time permits I may play with a frame and an "on", "off" switch.

Thank you all, ..............Bill
