Expression Web - I can't load my website - 3/19/2007 9:15:24
At first I thought it was a problem with my web server. I talked to them, they reloaded the apache server and said it was all they could do. So I tried doing it with other sites. Here's what I recieved:

"Could not find a web server at 'phantomstallion.org' on port 80..."

Then I tried getting into a random site online - I'll use google as an example:

"Could not find a Web server at 'google.com' on port 80. Please check to make sure that the Web server name is valid and your proxy settings are set correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the Web server may be temporarily out of service."

I didn't even have to log into a site to know that it woul shut me down. I really need to work on my sight, and now that I've upgraded to expression web I'm starting to feel like it's a huge waste of money - now that I can work on my site!

Not sure what the problem may be as when I try to open the site in EW I'm prompted for a user ID and password. Cancelling that allows me to see a read only version in EW but it loads slower than mud and then locks everything up.:):)

Yeah - I don't even get a prompt for a log in, it's merely a "web server unavailabe" message. Grrrr

I assume 80, I'm just typing the URL into either FP or EW and it comes up and asks for an ID and PW. I hit escape and it tells me I don't have permission "do I want to open read only" I say yes, it asks for ID and PW again, hit cancel and it opens. (FTR, today it loads quick and doesn't lock up).:)

In that case sounds like the proxy settings or firewall.

If it means anything I can also open the page from within the corporate firewall through our proxy server.
