dseoane -> IIS Websites note showing page unless a trailing slash/ is added (3/21/2007 15:46:47)

All of a sudden I get a "Page not found" error if I go to any of the websites on one of my internal servers, so lets say http://webcasts.domain.com - I will get a 404, http://webcasts.domain.com/presentations I get a 404, http://webcasts.domain.com/ works fine
http://webcasts.domain.com/presentations/ works fine.
Any ideas on that one...

Do you have a default - "home" page like default.html set in there?

Yes...
Or else I would get a 404 when I only used http://webcasts.domain.com/ but I do get the default page for that site.
Normaly on an IIs site when you do not ingluded the trailing / IIS adds it for you in the browser and then goes to the page.

I think it is a setting, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what it was. Check out the Microsoft Newsgroups. There are some great IIS people that are in there and should be able to help you in a heartbeat
