Software/hardware - 3/29/2007 13:36:39
My computer was going in fault mode, so i thought maybe it was running warm, I took of side pannels, check conections. Then I started it up, works good all day. I leave it running, do not shut down. Wen I come to work next day, the computer is shut down. I start it up, woks good but each day I come to work it is always off. Then today, I try to start, goes in defalt mode. I restart, it comes back to life, works good for 10 minutes, then I get a General Protection Fault. I try to restart but go to Fault mode again. Then I lay it flat on the floor with motherboard side down.
I restart, the darn thing is working again, it is still laying flat on floor.
Any ideas

Could be something loose inside, check all your cable connections, make sure the cables aren't damaged. Have a good look at the Mobo to see if there's anything loose.

Then get the memory checked out. I've had similar problems when one stick started to play up.
