I don't think it will give you anything for your benefit. It basically tells you in order to rank higher you need to have backlinks from site with high PR. What else is new...... ?

On the other side, I would not worry about PR all together. This is just a "google thing" to make webmasters crazy and loose sleep over it. In the SERP's you will find websites with PR0. What's the point?

Backlinks are good and great, but don't make it dependend upon PR. A new site which doesn't have a good ranking could be a big one pretty soon. :)

Hi,

I can see the value. It lets you know a few things:

1) How many links to raise PR by one.

2) If the site that you are thinking of exchanging with is worth doing it.

I think it is sort of cool actually, it's another tool to use.

I do not look for high PR sites exclusively. I look at newly created ones and low PR ones also. I make judgement calls on those.

My determination for links is do I think the site is a good site for my audience. Does it look like PR can escalate. Who are they linking to.

I think that we need to come to grips on linkage. It is a fact of life in CERTAIN GENRES. Some do not need link weight to rise, some do.

On genre links are going to carry more weight than non genre links. Does that mean you should avoid off genre links, no. It means you need a lot more of them to equal one on genre link.

Take care,

Brian

I think any tool that provided a new perspective has worth. Im not sure how to take it, it might be nice to know the math behind this one...
