I'm thinking of moving part of my site to a new domain. I'm planning on doing a 301 redirect to the new domain, but I'm concerned about the effeect this may have on the rest of the original site.
Of course when transferring a whole site to another domain, the original site would drop out of the search indexes.
But is there any problem for the original site when moving part of the site in this way? I can't think of any reason why G and others should penalise the original site, but I just want to be sure...
