Very nice, but it doesn't really give new information does it? Since when is font sizing with points recommended for web pages as opposed to print styling :) On this alone I would not recommend this as an authoritative source for learning.

Interesting isn't it. That's Nomensa too. However I re read it and I'm not sure they're saying you should use them for the web site. I think they're getting at what the Graphic Designer should be putting in their design. It's then down to the developer to translate that into accessible code.

Could be, but she should have written it more clearly ie "the designer" as you say could mean graphic designer as opposed to "web designer".

All the same I consider it to be a poor effort.

I think you're right, it's terminology. The big companies have it clear cut. Person A designs, Person B develops. We lowly individuals do both. Helena and I had this problem when we went to the event at Microsoft. You're signing in and they give out raffle tickets. If you're a designer you get yellow, developer you get green.

That was fine until we got there and threw a spanner in the works.

"Good morning. Designer or Developer?"

"Ummmm........ both"

So they didn't have any yellowy lime-green ones then? :)

No, we had to have one each, Helena was designer and I was developer. We still didn't win.

It might be because we'd eaten our own weight in those teeny danish pastry thingies and I was walking around saying things like

"is that free? can I take it?"

"No madam, it's a chair, please put it back"

Mind you the prizes looked boring. Books - and not terribly interesting books either. But then again most of the other delegates really looked like they didn't get out much.... apart from possibly going to Scouts.

It was when she was pushing an entire wheeled display stand, complete with Windows Vista enabled PCs across the car park that the trouble really started. :)

/Wombley makes mental note not to read Jaybee/Tail threads while drinking coffee and goes off in search of some tissues
