Adobe acquires InterAKT - 4/3/2007 13:48:34
I just noticed this article. I think this will impact future releases of DW. (Maybe not CS3 but the next one). I'm not a big fan of these particular extensions but allot of folks really like them.

(September 14, 2006)
Adobe states that the acquisition of the Romanian based company further strengthens Adobe’s position as a leading provider of web design and development tools.

Adobe acquired InterAKT to enhance existing product lines, including Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Flex. The new development center will also provide Adobe with greater access to and expertise in the Eastern European market.

Hmmm wait and see. Adobe have some very creative excuses as to why they suddenly have to charge more. Their latest being that it costs US$3m to translate a product into each language.

How would that effect the UK? You speak American right?

For the purposes of software, it seems we do, but for some reason they have to spend US$3m translating it for us even though there's no evidence of it.

Yes it seems very unfair. I don't pretend to be framiliar with EU rulings or legislation, but might a previous decisions by the EU have any reason for this?
