Delete Confirmation in Gridview - 4/5/2007 12:21:27
I have enabled update and delete in a gridview. When clicking the delete command link the record is deleted. Great... it works. But, it would be nice to get confirmation of " Are you sure you want to Delete this record?" How can we add a confirmation to the delete? TRU

I haven't had to deal with that particular scenario yet. But a Google came up with this. http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/GridViewConfirmDelete.asp You should be able to get the general idea of it from here.

Thanks but that was a little too complex for me. Could not get it to work. Found a MUCH simpler solution. I got this to work in Visual Studio, so I am guessing it will work in an Expression .aspx file as well. http://www.pluralsight.com/blogs/fritz/archive/2006/03/22/20514.aspx Found many other examples that were more complex, but this one seems to do the trick. If anybody knows of shortcomings of this solution, I would love to hear about them. Regards, TRU

Great! Between all of us posting things like this we can make a great resource.
