Delete Confirmation in Gridview - 4/5/2007 12:21:27

I have enabled update and delete in a gridview.

When clicking the delete command link the record is deleted. Great... it works.

But, it would be nice to get confirmation of " Are you sure you want to Delete this record?"

How can we add a confirmation to the delete?

I haven't had to deal with that particular scenario yet. But a Google came up with this.

You should be able to get the general idea of it from here.

Thanks but that was a little too complex for me. Could not get it to work.

Found a MUCH simpler solution.

I got this to work in Visual Studio, so I am guessing it will work in an Expression .aspx file as well.

Found many other examples that were more complex, but this one seems to do the trick. If anybody knows of shortcomings of this solution, I would love to hear about them.
