To see the image or not see the image? - 4/5/2007 14:35:30
That is the question!

Ok I can see the pictures on this page and subsequent page at home but not from work. Not that I would ever look at stuff not associated with work from work.

You've got javascript turned off in your browser or something similar, check your settings.

It turns out no one at my place of employment can see them. I'm just pulling idea out of thin air but could it be a firewall thing?

Can you see the images here and what do they do if you try and open one (assuming you can see the thumbs?

When you click on one of the thumbs does it open in the lightbox view or just an image on a page? if lightbox runs then JS isn't off. :)

<edit>I almost wish I were at work so I could see if the Emerson firewall blocks your images almost:).</edit>

Thats what I'm guessing. Problem is I've never seen anything else blocked.

Now I try it in Firefox and it works. So maybe it is an IE setting. I have no idea what setting it is.

Thanks!
Rich

Try Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and under Multimedia make sure Show Images is ticked?

To make it even crazier its only in IE6 that this occurs. Image work great in IE7.

I guess there's only one solution then, get rid of it (IE6).:)

Sorry, I had to get rid of the double oughts.:):)

Your turn...

Could be a conflict between the two. How are you running them alongside each other?

I use http://tredosoft.com/multipleIEs and all seems to work fine.

If it's any consolation something similar is going on on Harv's laptop. Lord knows what but we're going nuts. Firefox on my Mac is throwing a wobbler as well. Refusing to let me see one site. Everything else working fine.
