bobburk Posts: 140 Joined: 5/8/2002 From: Columbia MD USA Status: offline	logging off after short idle period - 4/6/2007 18:54:52 When I leave my laptop unattended for about 15 minutes, when I come back to use it again I have to click on my user icon again to continue where I left off. This drives me crazy (well, not quite crazy). Is there a way to stay logged in to avoid this situation when I return to use the computer after a while? Window XP Home is my OS.

Laptops usually arrive with that setting to save on battery usage. It's probably in Start>Control Panel>Power Options _____________________________ If it ain't broke..... fix it until it is. I found that if I uncheck the "on resume, display Welcome screen" I would just be taken back to the creen where I left off when I returned (in reply to jaybee)
