You'll need to find the right bit in the single post template via your admin panel > Presentation > Theme Editor > (file name).

Copy and paste the text from that file into a notepad page just in case you need to undo changes. Look for the line that calls the information within a paragraph with the classes "postmetadata alt" and carefully delete it and it's paragraph tags.

edit: this is assuming that you want to remove the whole box and it's contents rather than just change the look of the box. If you just want to change how it looks then change the two affected classes - "postmetadata" and "alt".
