Link issue when uploaded to remote host - 4/11/2007 0:07:16
I am having the biggest issues! When I preview my site locally the links work just fine, everything looks great... But once I uploaded the site onto the remote host nothing works. When you click on a button, it should link to a picture in the content frame. But nothing happens.

If you right click one of the navigation buttons you can view the content in a different browser. I'm so confused as to why it works fine locally but once it's put on the remote server it will not work.

I was thinking it had something to do w/me not having a homepage (i.e. index.htm). I wasn't thinking when I created my frameset and I named it frameset.htm instead of index.htm.

Here's the link to the site:

http://www.fivestarcell.com

please, help... I'm so frustrated!!!

It would appear that the images you have linked to are not where they are supposed to be. Check and make sure they've been transferred to the server.
Is there an "images" folder and does the "businesscontent.jpg" reside there?

I just double checked in the remote view in dreamweaver & I checked in the ftp root and the images are on the remote server. If you right click on one of the navigation buttons & select open link in new window you can view what is supposed to be in the content frame. But if you normal left click on one of the buttons the content frame does not move.

First off you have an error in your script.

Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to get property Window.cm_ref

Second, why are you using frames? They're inaccessible, search Engine unfriendly, user unfriendly, a pig to bookmark....................

Use normal pages, put your script into an external file, set up the header, sidebar and footer as separate pages and then include them into your content pages. You get the same effect as frames without the hassle.
