Academic Software - What's legal? - 4/12/2007 14:35:57
I am looking to purchase Adobe InDesign, and have found tons of on-line offers for $200 - $300 software. I then notice it is an Academic version, but the description says it is "perfectly legally for commercial use." I have high moral standards that I want to stick by. I am not a student, so how can it be legal to purchase? If I sign up for an on-line class, does that count legally? Or am I skirting the laws somewhat?
With the new CS3 coming out, will CS2 software be found cheaper?
(I know this isn't a web question...but thought some web designers out there may have had a similar experience with Photoshop or Dreamweaver.)

Academic software is fully functional and requires:
1. purchaser to be a student or faculty, and
2. is NOT for commercial usage.
