d a v e -> EW places Internal style sheet in wrong place!!! (4/16/2007 14:46:06)

my client is modifying a template (though the 'tempate' is actually just a plain html doc from DW) adn when he highlights words and makes them say purple EW makes a style for it and places it in an internal style sheet (why the heck doesn't it make it an inline style or better yet shove it in the external style sheet BUT it puts the internal stylesheet not in the head where it's supposed to be but willy-nilly in the middle of the body...
ideas???

Really? I've only ever seen it go in the head section. Check the settings.

i find no settings for anything like how styles are made: for example highlight some text (few words out of a paragraph), apply a nice colour, say pink, and in my template page it shoves the style defs just anywhere in the page NOT in the Head.

i've a start a new blank page then do the same thing then it works. but i find no options for what to do with new styles, i.e. to apply them using font tags, etc, inline style (maybe more logical), inline style sheet, or to add to an existing style sheet. it's sh*t.

Dave, if you go to Tools > Page Editor Options and click on the CSS tab you should have the option of applying the CSS as a Class or an inline style. Does that at least accomplish something like you're looking for?

i'll try that and let you know, thanks
