I am trying to publish a site. I enter the username and password and hit ok. For some reason the username changes to www.domainname.com\password. I then hit cancel and get the following message: A web does not exist at http://www.domainname.com. Would you like frontpage to create a web at that location?
The website has already been published once. Now it says it does not exist. I still selected ok to see what would happen. I get another message: unable to open http://domainname.com. It goes on to list the possible causes.
The host company says frontpage extensions are installed.
The first time the site was published, it was done using ftp because the host had it at a temporary location.

Does your web hosting company provide a control panel? if so, does this control panel have an icon for FPSE? If so, click that and see if you can check the FPSE.
Chances are, FPSE were installed but when you used FTP, this corrupted the FPSE and usually they need to be checked / re-installed (not necessarily removed and re-installed).

I could not find a control panel. I am still waiting for tech support to contact me. (Not happy with them. Will try to convince customer to change.) I was able to publish the site via ftp.
Now I have another problem. My contact page is not showing up. I get this message:
The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
I checked the spelling. I used Mike's (Green Beast) php contact form.

If you are using any Frontpage components, they might not function because FTP will corrupt the extensions. Did you ask the customer where the control panel was?

I have never heard of Green Beast and I don't mess with PHP (windows guy here). I suggest you create a new post in the correct zone but they might require more information.
