Newbie question about graphics. - 5/4/2007 17:19:46
Ok, I am new, very new so please bear with me.

I am building a website with FP2003. I was pluggin along not too bad, graphics were working ok, published my little page online. All was working well.

Today I went to work on that site, added a few more graphics and they simply will not show up, instead I get a box with an X in it.

I checked and all the jpg files I am using are indeed in my "image" folder in my website directory on my hard-drive, they are sitting amongst all the other graphics on my site that do indeed work.

So what am I doing wrong? I am completely baffled but am sure it is one simply step I am missing. Please help.

Thanks in advance

First try: TOOLS>RECALCULATE HYPERLINKS

Second: Check your graphic names to see if they are an excact match to the graphic file names in the images folder.

Third: Check that path again. should be images/somefilename.gif

They should actually be using a path on your site. If you are relying on a absolute path and the path is to your local computer, this could be the reason why they are not showing up.

The path needs to be something more like the other poster suggested in the code.
