Firefox Auto Refreshing - 5/7/2007 18:09:39
Yesterday while looking at that post with the "clik" problem in the Frontpage Forum, Firefox jammed and wouldn't let me do anything but shut it down with many other "important" tabs open at the same time.
So I shut it down and re-started Firefox, selected "resume session" and all the tabs came back up, including the one that had caused the jam, and of course it jammed again.
I didn't want to lose the open tabs I had and was working on, so I shut it down in the task manager this time, but when trying to re-open Firefox, it told me Firefox was already running - so I went into the task manager > processes, found firefox.exe and closed it down, read the warning but didn't think it would matter, closed it down.
So Firefox opened perfectly the next time I tried, although I'd given up on the other tabs I had open, but one particular site I use often keeps refreshing about every 5 seconds or so and I'm not sure how to stop it refreshing on this site.
The site isn't auto refreshing in IE, only Firefox, of course when it refreshes it jumps back to the top of the page making reading anything impossible.
I've looked in the Firefox help files but found nothing, searched Google but all I can find is a list of links to a Firefox extension that helps to refresh pages at certain intervals. Yet I don't want it to refresh.
Does anyone have any ideas short of re-installing Firefox? I have version 2.0

Well it might've just been a coincidence that this auto reloading started when FF crashed - It's miraculously fixed itself.
