html forms : Confirm page - 5/13/2007 9:16:39
In Dreamweaver MX 2004 in html forms , how I setup/configure/build a Confirm page ? There is Automatic way like frontpage or I must write a server side script ?

When I open a frontpage 2002 confirm webpage from dreamweaver mx 2004 there appear in Confirmation Fields the below["Country" Confirmation Field__code above/below in "comment" icon field] :

webbot bot="ConfirmationField" S-Field="Country" startspan
Country
webbot bot="ConfirmationField" i-checksum="65532" endspan

well what are ?

They are calling FrontPage bots. Dreamweaver doesn't have a clue what they are.

If you build a web site by pressing buttons in Frontpage it uses, in many cases, its own code to build what you asked for. That code is called a bot and is dynamically included when you load the page. Forms are a classic example and it's why you have to have FPSEs running on your host for it to work properly.

You cannot expect design software from other companies to understand what the heck it's on about. Using Dreamweaver to work on a FP built site means that in many cases your code will no longer work. In the case of the form you will have to re-do it from scratch using Dreamweaver or go and find a form script elsewhere.
