obialor -> Publishing in Expression Web (5/17/2007 18:58:43)
I understand that with Expression Web, we do not need Frontpage Server Extensions in order to publish a website developed with EW.
My question is this: When you click Publish in EW. You have these options: 1. Frontpage Server Extensions 2. WebDav 3. FTP. ------------- 4. File System.
Which is the best option to use to publish a website developed in EW?

FTP is pretty good, even though Expression's FTP part is a bit hinky at best. I do use it still from time to time, but if there are a lot of changes and pages, usually I use another FTP program.

Many thanks Corey. How about websites developed in Frontpage and imported and into EW. Can we still publish these without FP Extensions?

Yes you can publish them - but if you are using any components that rely on FPSE (especially forms) then they won't work if you publish with FTP

Thank you one more time, Corey. Have a nice weekend.
