Yes, the dreaded [FrontPage Save Results Component] for an email form.

So far this morning I have:

reconfigured the smart host in the smtp settings on the web server (IIS 6 Windows 2003)

Removed and reinstalled the FP server extensions on the server and the site

IISReset numerous times

Recalulated hyperlinks on both the FP client and the server

Started with a new page and created a new form

Anyone got any other ideas?

Are you publishing the form? Did you ask the hosting company to just reset the FPSE (instead of removing them - don't remove them unless necessary). Are you dumping the results into a TXT folder? Is that folder correct in the path and has the proper permissions?

Yes the form is published, there is no hosting company (it's my server) and yes it has a default SMTP gateway and smart host installed, yes they have been both reset and re-installed, no I'm not saving it to any file, just an email address.

If you removed the extensions, did you (on Frontpage) go to Tools - Recalculate the Hyperlinks and re-publish? Are there any other FP sites on this server (and do they work)? Has the site ever worked or is this all new?

Using FP since 1997, I've had the same problem and the only sure solution I had is within the HTML view to find the statement and remove it, then save and republish.

Also after re-reading your post, can you get into the FPSE Admin Control Panel? Resetting everything might have messed up a couple of things
