Need CD w/ Image Composer - 11/3/2001 20:32:00
I bought the upgrade (FP2002) for my desktop which already had my FP2000 version on it. However, when I tried to install it on my laptop for the first time, I discovered I couldn't find my original FP98 full version (needed to use the upgrade). I called Sym. and they verified that I was legit and sent me a full version...giving me a choice of FP2000 or FP2002. They said they don't have anymore FP98 versions.HERE'S THE PROBLEM:
Neither of those later versions have Image Composer on them. I can do most anything I want with that program....and EASILY!
Anyone have any ideas how I can get that program? Thanks...

Hang onto it. I upgraded from FP97 to FP02 (store-bought), and it is no longer included. Starting with FP2002 Microsoft apparently dropped Image Composer from the product line. I searched their site, nothing. I would like to get my Image Composer 1.0 upgraded to 1.5. The only thing I have come up with so far is to buy someone's FP2000 from EBay. Until a few months ago it was a free download from Microsoft for FrontPage owners.- John Flower

I am sans my beloved Image Composer as well. are there any programs out there that are comparable? It is so easy to use. I use it mostly to click and drag various images onto one canvas to make printable fliers.

Thanks for the thread. It was very enlightening. Namely, that with a little effort, such as reading a Photoshop book, I can make that program do for me what IC does. Incidentally, I happened to find my old IC copy. But in the interim, I found another program that does what I needed it to do and more. Microsoft Publisher, believe it or not.
