hiring an expert to design and build - 5/24/2007 22:39:40
I know a database is over my head and I'd like to hire an expert to design/build my database and help me with integrating with my site.

Ideally, I'd like to hire someone to get me started, but I'd like to manage the database/site on my own once it gets going.

Currently my site has about 600 items that I'd turn into database records (searchable by 10 or so different criteria)

Can anyone tell me a ballpark on what this might cost me...and point me in the direction of finding someone.

thanks.

Depending on what you need, I could help you get started for free if you're interested in using MS SQL Server 2005 database and ASP.NET 2.0 for the website. I've used these products since they were released and they are relatively easier to use than the previous versions.
