websquad -> Expression Web Product Key (5/27/2007 16:50:46)

I just downloaded Expression Web for the 60-day test, and the first thing it wanted was a "Product Key" - which, of course, I do not have. When I tried to continue without the key, a pop up said:

You may run your Microsoft Expression Web programs a limited number of times before you are required to enter a Product Key. We strongly recommend that you enter a Product Key now for ease of validating your Microsoft Office License.

(1) Did I download the wrong setup file?

(2) If I didn't, what does "... a limited number of times ..." mean? Do I still get the 60-day trial?

Thanks!

I believe you get the 60 days. But the pop will come up each time you access the program. It is annoying. 60 days is a good time to see if you like the program or not. I have used Expression Web now for about 7 months. I give it a 70% pass.

Do you use the product to develop web sites for a Windows-based server, or for a non-Windows based server?

I finally figured out how to get the Product Key ....

Re: length of test period - I didn't count the number of days, but recall that it was toward the end of July ... must be 60 days.
