unable to retrieve table

When I try to connect to my database I am able to connect to my connection. Then I try to pull up a recordset I get this error. "Unable to retrieve tables from this connection, click on the 'Define...' button to test this connection" I installed the fix from Adobe located here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19515 but it didn't solve my problem. Any other suggestions.
