Larry M. -> Microsoft Windows Live Messenger (6/4/2007 9:42:51)

Because she has to type with a head pointer, a member of OutFront has asked me to communicate via MSN IM vice Forum format.

On one hand I am willing (and want) to help. On the other, I don't want to be exposed to Spam, Spyware, Trojans, etc. that Instant Messaging reputedly brings with it.

Any thoughts?

I don't know about the "well known" part, it's me or as close as I could make it me using http://illustmaker.abi-station.com/index_en.shtml

Looks fine, but I'm restricted to use the program our fellow OutFronter uses because of her physical limitations.

Again, I would like to help but don't want to embark on a kamikaze mission in so doing [X(]

Thoughts? Personal Experience? Observations?

My advice to anyone considering downloading Microsoft Windows Live Messenger (MSN IM) is DON'T.

In an attempt to accomodate a requesting OutFront Member with numerous disablities, I installed this program yesterday afternoon. The installation and operation appeared normal before shutdown late p.m. last nite. This a.m., after cold start, my mouse started jittering, then all programs refused to call-up. Two cold boots later, no joy - dead in the water [:@]

Fortunately I had established a Restore Point prior to installation of MS Windows Live Messenger so a Restore to that point got me back up right away and all systems/programs have acted normally since [:)]

Enough said?
